Man & Woman Arrested For Alleged Sex Trafficking, Kidnapping

MIAMI SPRINGS (CBSMiami) – A woman who claimed to be have been held against her will and forced to be a prostitute said she was able to send a text message to her mother for help.

The alleged victim of sex trafficking told police she met Demetrick Cooks, 27, while she was dancing at Rachel Gentleman's Club in Orlando in November, 2013.

That man reportedly convinced the victim he could help her work in the modeling business, but later told the woman he was a "pimp" and demanded that she become a prostitute.

According to authorities, another person, Kimberly Agorilla, 26, also held the woman against her will and coached her on prostitution and seducing "Johns".

The victim said she was forced to travel to Nevada, New Jersey and Hawaii and prostitute.

Her information was also posted on a website to attract new customers, according to an arrest affidavit.

The affidavit states the victim was forced to meet a quota of $1,000 a day and threatened with bodily harm if she did not meet the quota.

On the occasions she did not meet the set dollar amount, the affidavit states she was punched in her head and rib cage.

On January 8, 2014, the victim said she was abducted from the Rachel Gentleman's Club in Orlando and taken to Miami.

During that trip, the victim said she was able to contact her mother with a text message and her mother called police.

Miami Springs Police visited the Comfort Inn at 5301 N.W. 36th Street #205 and found the victim being held against her will.

The Cooks and Agorilla were arrested and are being held on no bond.

The arrest affidavit stated the woman earned approximately $37,000 that was taken from her while being forced to be a prostitute.
