Man Proposes At Coral Gables Whole Foods Market
CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) — Looking for love? One South Florida couple found it at the Whole Foods Market in Coral Gables and even ended up getting engaged there on Wednesday.
Two years ago, Vladimir Romannikov was shopping in the Coral Gables store when he noticed Monica Dehombre looking at a Kombucha bottle.
Romannikov pretended to be intrigued and started looking at the Kombucha display as well, even though he had no idea what Kombucha was.
Romannikov ended up behind Dehombre in checkout lane No. 2, even though another lane had just opened.
He finally built up the courage to speak to her, the words finally came out of his mouth: “Do you always shop organic?” So began their love affair.
On Wednesday and by total surprise, the two went shopping at Whole Foods Market, where Romannikov led Dehombre to a bed of roses at the front registers. He proposed and she said “YES!”
