MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It’s almost becoming old hat for the Miami Heat, but the team will take another trip to the White House to be honored as the NBA champion.

President Barack Obama will welcome the 2013 NBA Champion Heat to honor the team for winning a second-straight championship. In addition, the heat will meet wounded warriors from Water Reed National Military Medical Center.

The Heat will appear at the White House at 2:45 p.m. next Tuesday.

If all goes as planned for the Heat this year, they’ll be planning another White House trip after the NBA Finals in June.
