Miami Police Search For Sexual Assault & Robbery Subject

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Police are still on the hunt for a man accused of sexually assaulting and robbing a woman in broad daylight.

They released a sketch earlier this week, asking the public to help catch the accused man.

On December 30th, a woman, according to the Miami Police Department, was sitting inside her parked car around at Northeast 9th Avenue and 86th Street when a man entered the passenger-side of her car.

The man, armed with a handgun, then forced the victim to the back seat, police said.

The suspect got in the driver's seat of the car and drove a short distance before jumping into the backseat and sexually assaulting the victim.

According to police, the man stole several items before fleeing in a dark blue or black late-model Chevy Impala with dart tinted windows and chrome rims.

The suspect is described by police as a black male in his early 20s, clean-shaven, brown eyes. He was wearing a gray hoody with a teddy bear on the front, knee-length black shorts and sneakers.

Anyone with any information regarding the suspect or the vehicle shown can remain anonymous and, if tip leads to arrest, is eligible for up to $1,000.00 reward from crime stoppers. You can call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477) or visit crimestoppersmiami.com and select "Give a Tip."
