FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) — Fort Lauderdale Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find a car allegedly involved in a hit and run that occurred Thursday morning in Fort Lauderdale.

According to police, at 12:27 a.m., Daniel Francis Driscoll, 53, was attempting to cross West Broward Boulevard, not at a cross walk, from the south side of the road to the north side when a 1996-2000 model 4-door green Honda Civic struck Driscoll.

The car’s driver side view mirror hit Driscoll, throwing him to the ground.

The driver then allegedly fled westbound on West Broward Boulevard.

Driscoll suffered life threatening injuries and was transported to  Broward Health Medical Center, where he is in critical condition.

If you know any information, you’re urged to call a Traffic Homicide Investigator at 954-828-5825.
