Santa To Arrive With Cooler Temperatures

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It was a foggy morning across South Florida Tuesday with some areas waking up to visibility down to a mile or less.

Low level moisture and light winds ahead of a cold front led to the foggy conditions.

Temperatures are a bit cooler already as compared to Monday morning.

Instead of the upper 70s, temperatures were in the low to mid 60s inland and the low 70s near the coast Tuesday morning.

Throughout the day, highs will climb to the low 80s and the breeze will shift out of the North. Winds will increase 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph. Some scattered showers may sweep in throughout the day with a 20-percent chance of rain.

Tuesday evening the temperatures will tumble and once the front moves through we'll enjoy cooler weather for Christmas Eve with low 60s inland and the upper 60s near the coast.

It will be windy at times with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Wednesday, it'll be a cool, breezy start to Christmas.

Expect some clouds around as the front will linger. A few showers may pop up here and there.

Highs will be back to normal with the upper 70s with winds out of the Northeast at about 10 to 20 mph.

The front will lift back north as a warm front late week.

Thursday and Friday highs will remain in the upper 70s with a better chance of breezy showers.

The weekend will warm back up to around 80 degrees with some spotty showers.
