Police: Husband Of Woman Found Dead In Sunrise Confessed

SUNRISE (CBSMiami) –  The husband of a woman found dead in Sunrise Saturday is being charged with second degree murder after police say he killed his wife of 41 years.

Frankie Siew, 65, was arrested Saturday evening. According to Sunrise police, he confessed to detectives he killed his wife Daywhotee Siew by hitting her head against the floor which caused her to suffer from blunt force trauma to the head.

Police say Frankie Siew placed a 911 call from their residence at 3391 NW 97th Terrace. The call came-in as an injury but upon rescuers' arrival, the adult woman was found dead.  Siew remained at the scene.

Police knocked on the next door neighbors' door about 1:30 Saturday the morning .

"They said that the mother was murdered," said Chandler Feichter.

Feichter said he noticed something unusual on the video from the family's surveillance cameras.  "There was a man and I think it was the father, or the husband, and he was walking around just like going back and forth and seemed like his car kept going flashing on and off like he was clicking the button. I don't know he just kept walking back and forth acting strange," he told CBS4's Maggie Newland.    He said police took that video.

People who live nearby were shocked to wake up to a crime scene.  "Police officers came to my door," said Patrick Roberts who lives a few houses down.  Roberts knew the husband who lived at the house.

"He's a real nice guy, helps everybody in the neighborhood and it's a shame for the tragedy that happened," Roberts said.

He did not know the wife well, but said she seemed nice.

'It's horrible. It's a very good neighborhood and a shame it happened here." said Roberts.

Siew faces a charge of second degree murder.
