Two Found Dead In Hollywood Home

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – An investigation is underway after two men were found dead in a Hollywood home.

Neighbors flocked to the home in the 5200 block of Flagler Street Tuesday evening around 8 p.m. after the gunfire stopped.  There they found a man's body lying in front of the home, a woman crying.  Police identified one of the men as 41-year old Delsi Smith, he lived in the home.  The other man has been identified as 40-year old Troy Harris, who was visiting Smith.

Police said both men had been shot.

"I hear bop, bop, bop, bop, bop and then quiet," said neighbor Crystal Sanjuan. "Then all of the sudden you hear a lady (scream) 'Oh my God, oh my God, they shot him, they shot him'."

Area residents said the neighborhood is very quiet and were alarmed that something like this happened.

"I had nightmares last night trying to sleep because I was thinking about the family of that poor guy who got shot. Like I said this neighborhood is usually quiet, this is a big shocker that this happened," said Sanjuan.

A neighbor told CBS4 that one of the men killed was a husband and father.

"The gentleman, you know, he's a friend of my brothers, a good friend of our family and it's very disturbing," said Theresa Moore. "He has a young daughter and wife. He was a good guy, a good guy, so it's very disturbing. This neighborhood is very saddened today."

Police have not said what they believe led to the shooting.
