Gas Prices Go Up More Than A Dime In The Last Month
MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) – In the last month, the price at the pump across the state has increased more than a dime in some areas.
In Florida, the average price for a gallon of unleaded is $3.42, up from $3.21 a month ago, according to the American Automobile Association. Diesel also increased to $3.96 a gallon or about ten cents more than a month ago.
In Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, drivers are paying more than the state average. Regular unleaded is running $3.45 a gallon in Miami and $3.46 Ft. Lauderdale. A month ago, drivers were paying $3.27 a gallon in Ft. Lauderdale and $3.28 in Miami. A year ago, regular unleaded was averaging $3.21 a gallon.

The Pensacola area is the cheapest place in the state to fill up. Unleaded regular is averaging $3.29 a gallon.
West Palm Beach and the Fort Myers-Cape Coral is the most expensive place to top off the tank; regular unleaded is averaging $3.52 a gallon.
