BSO Investigating Deadly House Fire In Lauderdale Lakes

LAUDERDALE LAKES (CBSMiami) --The Broward Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly house fire in Lauderdale Lakes.

Firefighters responded to the home at 5061 NW 41 Street just after 8:30 Friday night.

Smoke was billowing from the windows when rescue crews first arrived, according the BSO Spokesperson Dani Moschella.

First responders made entry through an open side door, Moschella said.

That's when they found a body inside.

As of 11 p.m. Friday, investigators said it was too early to tell whether the fire or the death appeared suspicious.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.

The gender and identity of the person found dead inside the home have not been released.
