Suspect In North Miami Shooting Arrested
NORTH MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A 23-year-old suspect was located and arrested Saturday after police say he shot two juvenile's Friday night.
Athanael J. Louis, 23, was located Saturday afternoon, questioned and then taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in connection to a double shooting at 14895 NE 18 Avenue Friday, according to North Miami Police Department.
Police responded at approximately 7:36 pm Friday night to a call of two people shot.
Upon arrival, officers located one male shot twice in the back and a second male, 16-years-old, was dead on the scene.
The surviving victim, according to police, was transported to Jackson Ryder Trauma Center in serious but stable condition.
Louis is being charged with First-degree murder and attempted murder.
