At Least One Person Stabbed In NE Miami

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - At least one person was stabbed in an early morning incident in northeast Miami-Dade County.

Police said the stabbing started as a disagreement between a father and his daughter's boyfriend. During the fight, the boyfriend allegedly starting hitting the father in the head and the father locked himself in a bedroom.

At that point, police said the boyfriend knocked down the door and the father grabbed a pocked knife. When the boyfriend allegedly jumped on the father, he allegedly stabbed the boyfriend and accidentally stabbed himself.

Miami Fire Rescue said both of them were transported to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The father was treated and released, but the boyfriend remains in the hospital.

The stabbing happened at 7238 NE 2nd Avenue in Miami.
