MIAMI (CBSMiami) —  It was a Thanksgiving tragedy for one family who lost a member after he was shot and killed in Northwest Miami-Dade Thursday.

According to police, two males approached the male victim a little after 8:00 p.m. at 2150 N.W. 100th Street  and shot him.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The family of the victim  pushed through the crime tape and ran across the street yelling and crying as soon as they heard what happened.

” I never expected this to happen and like it’s thanksgiving and I was just thinking just have fun and we were all just laughing and stuff  and we got that phone call and it just changed everything,” said Cranisha Garvin, a relative of the victim.

No word yet on a motive.
