Legoland Florida To Build A Hotel
WINTER HAVEN (CBSMiami/AP) — Hoping to transition from a place where guests visit for one day to multi-day destination, Legoland Florida has announced that it plans to build a hotel on the park's property.
Legoland Florida General Manager Adrian Jones said the four-story, 152-room hotel will open in 2015.
Legoland Florida is based on the building-block toys and has rides and attractions geared toward ages 2 to 12. The Winter Haven location is one of five Lego-based theme parks in the world, and the company's largest. Since opening in October 2011, the Florida park has added a "Star Wars"-themed area, a water park and a new ride and interactive play area.
