Hotel Holds Dance-Off To Find The Next Skyline Dancer

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – After nearly a year of hip-shaking and hair-tossing in Downtown Miami's skyline, the woman who dancing on the façade of the InterContinental Hotel is being retired.

The hotel, located at 100 Chopin Plaza, held a dance-off Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to find the next 200-foot skyline dancer, which was part of the hotel's $30 million renovation.

The hotel, according to the press release, asked for all dancers of all genres to try out for the next "mover and shaker."

Dance moves were judged by VH1's Jane Castro along with members from Miami City Ballet as well as the Miami Heat.

Winner, or winners, of the contest will not only be able to catch a glimpse of their silhouette grooving in the downtown skyline, but will receive a free staycation package at the hotel, according to the hotel.
