Couple Carjacked At Little Havana Gas Station

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A couple who was carjacked at a Little Havana gas station described it as a terrifying ordeal and said they were lucky to survive unhurt.

The couple was at Exxon station on W Flagler Street at 16th Avenue around 2 a.m.

The woman, who did wish to be identified, said she was coming out of the store when she was approached by two armed men.

"There was a gun pointed at me, at my face. There were two of them. One was on him, one was on me, taking care of me by pointing gun and then they told me to drop everything and get on the ground," said the woman.

"At one point she was on the ground behind the car and one of them got in the back seat and our little puppy was in the front seat, so I tried to jump in and get the car. One of them had a gun in the sweater trying to pull it out saying 'get out, get out' and I was like 'she's scared' so I got our puppy out," said Alejandro Gonzalez.

Gonzalez said both armed men then got in his silver Honda Civic and drove off.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
