HALLANDALE BEACH (CBSMiami) --Hallandale Beach Police said a young girl is in critical condition after a driver hit her as she was walking home from school Monday afternoon. Investigators say the driver of the car sped off.

Police told CBS4 News that they received an anonymous tip a short time after the accident about some suspicious men leaving a red Dodge behind a home a couple of blocks from the scene. Police say it matches the description of the vehicle involved in the accident.
