Report: Incognito Set To File Grievance Against Dolphins

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The bizarre situation surrounding the Miami Dolphins, Richie Incognito, and Jonathan Martin may be about to take a more litigious turn.

Fox Sports' Alex Marvez tweeted, "At some point very, very, very soon expect Richie Incognito to file grievance vs @miamidolphins for losing his weekly $235,294.12 salary."

Incognito was indefinitely suspended by the Dolphins last Sunday after the team received text messages and voice mails that Incognito left for teammate Jonathan Martin.

The contents of the messages have remained sealed, but the text from a voicemail contained Incognito using a racial slur and allegedly making threats.

Initially, Incognito lashed out at the media, specifically ESPN, for tying his name to the Jonathan Martin story. However, since more information about the case has emerged, Incognito has refused to answer questions from anyone.

He told CBS4's Kim Bokamper in a text that he's just trying to weather the storm.

Incognito is in the final year of his three-year contract with the Miami Dolphins. The contract had a total worth of $12.9 million. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season and is 30-years-old.
