Elderly Couple Found Dead In Deerfield Beach Apartment
DEERFIELD BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Crime scene investigators with the Broward Sheriff's Office are gathering physical evidence and taking photographs inside an elderly couple's Deerfield Beach condo after they were found dead.
BSO is calling this a death investigation.
They said they have not determined how this couple died and detectives are on the scene at 2440 Deer Creek Country Club Boulevard exploring all possible scenarios.
A man who lives near the couple told CBS4's Carey Codd he knows the couple's daughter and that she came to the condo Monday evening to check on them and found a gruesome scene.
"They're just a nice couple. They've been here a long time. Their daughter lives above me and she checks on them all the time. But apparently she walked in and found both of them in there," said neighbor Mike Hanley.
Crime scene investigators continued to collect evidence Monday evening to sort out such a sad situation.
