Ft. Lauderdale's 54th Annual Int'l Boat Show Starts Thursday

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – The first day of Ft. Lauderdale's International Boat Show excursion kicked off Thursday and many people look forward to a weekend full of boats, from small boats to exotic super yachts.

The show is the kick-off of South Florida's tourist season which brings water-lovers together for a four day affair.

Attendees will have the opportunity to see boats that were brought in from around the world and enjoy tons of exhibits at six various locations. There will also be floating cocktail lounges, places to shop and activities for the kids.

Visitors have traveled from all around the world to attend what is called the "Yachting Capital of the World." The event will bring in about half a billion dollar for the city.

The show runs from Thursday through Monday.
