Behind The Boards: Panthers Call-Up Goalie

SUNRISE (CBSMiami) - The Florida Panthers recalled goalie Scott Clemmensen from the team's AHL-affiliate in San Antonio after starting goalie Tim Thomas suffered a groin injury Tuesday night.

Thomas' injury doesn't appear to be serious, but he is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Panthers sent forward Drew Shore to San Antonio to clear up space on the roster for Clemmensen.

At this point in Shore's career, he is much better off playing big minutes in the AHL at his natural center position than playing sparingly as a fourth line winger on the Panthers.
