Escaped Mental Patient Captured
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A patient who escaped from the South Florida State Mental Hospital over the weekend has been captured.
Leandro Guymaraes, 30, was taken into custody overnight.
Pembroke Pines police said Guymaraes walked out of the mental hospital at 800 E Cypress Drive around 11 p.m. Saturday.
He was ordered to be placed into the facility due to his Schizophrenia and previous violent tendencies. Guymaraes also has a warrant for his arrest in Miami-Dade County.
