Robin Williams Goes "Crazy" For CBS

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Academy Award winner Robin Williams returns to television Thursday night in "The Crazy Ones," a comedy series about a larger-than-life advertising genius named Simon Roberts, whose unorthodox methods and unpredictable behavior would get him fired,  if he weren't the boss.

In the first episode alone we see him boxing with a life-sized Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robot, improv rapping in a fine dining restaurant, and reciting "rubber baby buggy bumpers" to a room full of important clients.

The last time Williams did series TV was back in 1981 with "Mork and Mindy."

Simon has the biggest clients and brands in the world, but even more important to him is having his daughter Sydney by his side.

As his partner, Sydney, played by Sarah Michelle Geller, is Simon's exact opposite focused, organized and eager to make a name for herself.

"The Crazy Ones" is produced by David Kelly, the mastermind who created such hit shows  such as Ally McBeal , Boston Legal, and The Practice to name a few.

Appearances are also made by A-list guest stars playing themselves, such as singer Kelly Clarkson, who Williams had some fun improvising with.

"The Crazy One" premieres Thursday, September 26, at 9:00 p.m. on CBS4.
