Fabulous Couture Fashion Sale To Benefit Kids

CORAL GABLES (CBSMiami) – If you love to shop, get a bargain, and help out a good cause at the same, there's a weekend event you're going to love in Coral Gables.

Friday is the start of a three-day high-end designer consignment sale and money raised from the sale benefits the non-profit organization Coconut Grove Cares which operates The Barnyard, a community center that provides free educational and cultural after=school and summer programs for underprivileged children.

The Fashionably Conscious event takes place in the Village of Merrick Park in Coral Gables this weekend.

The sale features incredible deals on barely-worn items from luxury brands like Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Dior, Prada, Escada, Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera, Yves Saint Laurent and more

The designer wares were donated by Miami's high-end movers and shakers who have been cleaning out their coveted closets for days now.

Ticket sales and merchandise proceeds brought in $80,000 last year for the West Grove children's community center, for a six-year total of $175,000. This year, the group wants to top $100,000.

There's a VIP preview Friday from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. which will feature a silent auction at Merrick Park's Koko & Palenk boutique. Items include Lasik eye surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

Admission Friday is $25, Saturday is $10 and Sunday is $5.
