Tropical Storm Gabrielle Expected To Pass Over Or Near Bermuda

MIAMI (CBSMiami) –Tropical Storm Gabrielle has slowed down as it nears Bermuda Tuesday night.

At 11 p.m., the center of the system was about 25 miles south-southwest of Bermuda. Gabrielle's maximum sustained winds remain at 60 mph as it moves north at about 8 mph.

Tropical storm force winds extend about 115 miles from Gabrielle's center.

A Tropical Storm Warning is effect for Bermuda.

The National Hurricane Center forecast calls for Gabrielle to pass near or just west of Bermuda Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.

Gabrielle is not expected to gain much strength within in the next 48 hours.

Gabrielle is expected to produce up to four inches of rain over Bermuda with some areas seeing up to six inches of rain.
