Police: Elderly Woman Shot While Stopping Argument

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating the shooting of an elderly woman.
Investigators said two brothers were arguing inside a home on SW 117th Place, Sunday, when one of them pulled out a gun.
The elderly grandmother reportedly got in the way to stop the argument and was shot by mistake.
Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said the woman was shot in the leg and was transported to Kendall Regional and her condition is unknown.
The shooter was taken into custody.
