E.L. James Announces Leading Roles In "Fifty Shades Of Grey"

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Her parents must be so proud. The daughter of Don Johnson, formerly of Miami Vice fame, and Melanie Griffith, has been cast to play Anastasia Steele in E.L. James' big screen version of "50 Shades of Grey."

Dakota Johnson is best known for her starring role in the short-lived sitcom "Ben and Kate."

E.L. James announced the casting news Monday morning on her Twitter account.

She also announced actor Charlie Hunnam has been cast to play the coveted role of Christian Grey.

Her tweets read, "I am delighted to let you know that the lovely Dakota Johnson has agreed to be our Anastasia in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Then she added, "The gorgeous and talented Charlie Hunnam will be Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey."

Hunnam stars on "Sons of Anarchy" as Jax Teller, and had previous roles in "Pacific Rim" and "Deadfall."

The casting news ends a months-long search for the two leading roles in the erotic love story.

The film is expected to be released in August 2014.
