Alligator Bites N. Florida Man
LAKE CITY (CBSMiami/AP) — Florida Fish and Wildlife reports an alligator bit a man while working on a dock, Thursday.
According to officials, the man has a bite on his leg. He was working at the dock at Lake Jeffery in northern Florida.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokeswoman Karen Parker confirmed the bite to the Gainesville Sun newspaper.
Parker says she doesn't know the extent of the man's injuries.
He was taken to University of Florida Health Shands Hospital shortly after the 3:30 p.m. incident.
Parker says the agency issued a permit to a trapper to capture the gator.
