Good Samaritan And Stranded Motorist Killed

SANFORD, Fla. (CBSMiami/AP) — An accident along a central Florida roadway killed a good Samaritan and a stranded motorist.

The good Samaritan stopped to help the stranded motorist and both were struck and killed by a car.

Florida Highway Patrol officials said 26-year-old Orlando resident Nicole Azrig’s car struck a guardrail early Saturday along Interstate 4.

Forty-seven year-old Robert Webb of Kissimmee stopped to help her.

Both were standing in the emergency lane on the highway when driver Jescycka Cater of Orlando swerved to try to avoid the crash and veered into the emergency lane.

Both victims died at the scene.

FHP officials said the area is not lit and that the lights on Azrig’s car were off after the accident.
