Oakland Park Autistic Teen Found Safe

OAKLAND PARK (CBSMiami) - An Oakland Park teen that ran away from home Friday, was found safe and is back home Saturday with his family.

Shawn Hampton, a 15-year-old with autism, was reported missing Friday by the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said they recovered Hampton, who was safe and unharmed, near Ft. Lauderdale Beach.

Hampton had last been seen Friday around 1:30 p.m. by his mother around the time he ran away from their neighborhood on the 300 block of Northwest 42 Street.
