Trayvon Martin

DALLAS (CBSMiami) – Less than a month after making headlines for helping a family out of an overturned SUV in central Florida, George Zimmerman is back in the news.

This time for a traffic stop in Texas. The celebrity gossip site TMZ.com is reporting that Zimmerman was pulled over in Forney on Sunday for speeding. During the stop Zimmerman informed the cops that he had a gun in his glove box.

Forney is about 30 minutes east of Dallas.

When asked where he was going, Zimmerman reportedly replied “nowhere in particular.”

After checking to see if there were any warrants out for his arrest, the police let him go with a warning and polite “Have a safe trip.”

The stop lasted around 5 minutes.
