Two Kids, Adult Injured When Inner Tube Slams Into Dock

WINTER HAVEN (CBSMiami/AP) – An afternoon on the water turned dangerous for two children and an adult after the inner tube they were riding in slammed into a dock.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, David Landazuri, 10-year-old Hunter Gonzalez and 9-year-old Javier Nunez were in a tube being towed by a personal watercraft Saturday afternoon on Lake Lulu in Winter Haven.

The tube crashed into a dock when the watercraft made a right turn.

Hunter was hospitalized in Tampa in grave condition. According to the sheriff's office, Javier was hospitalized in stable condition and Landazuri was hospitalized in critical condition.

The sheriff's office says the crash appears to have been accidental.

Landazuri and Hunter are from Winter Haven, and Javier is from Vero Beach.
