THOUSAND OAKS, CALIF. (CBSMiami) – Former child star Amanda Bynes is in trouble again. According to TMZ, Bynes was involved in some sort of disturbance and hospitalized on a 5150 hold; an involuntary psychiatric hold.

TMZ reports the 27-year-old troubled actress started a small fire in the driveway of a residential home in Thousand Oaks, California and she was standing next to the small fire when police arrived. The Sheriff’s office explained, “Deputies investigated the incident and determined that she met the criteria of 5150 W&I (California Welfare & Institutions Code). She was detained and taken in for a mental health evaluation.”

Earlier the same evening, Bynes was confronted by police when she was allegedly caught trespassing at a retirement community in Thousand Oaks.

Bynes went to the old folks’ home to visit a relative, but she was turned away because management at the facility thought she seemed drunk, according to TMZ.

Bynes can only be held on the 5150 mental evaluation for 72 hours.

Bynes rose to fame starring in Nickelodeon’s “All That.” She also starred in 2010’s “Easy A.” But she has been in the news more recently because of several scrapes with the law and bizarre public behavior.
