N. Miami Man Accused Of Fondling 6-Year-Old Neighbor

NORTH MIAMI (CBS Miami) – A man was arrested and charged for allegedly inappropriately touching a six-year-old girl.

Marco Rivera, 63, appeared in court Thursday morning.

Rivera is charged with one count of lewd and lascivious act on a child.

According to North Miami Police the child told her mother that Rivera forced the child to sit on his lap and fondled her beneath her panties.

Rivera told detectives he has slapped the child on the buttocks to discipline her in the past, but has never touched her genitalia.

Rivera is the child's neighbor and they are not related.
