Chrysler Recalls Close To Half Million Vehicles

MIAMI (CBS4) – Owners of some Chrysler vehicles will need to check that their vehicle is repaired due to a recall that was just issued.

The auto giant said it will recall half a million cars and SUVs because of issues with the active head-restraint function.

The problem is reportedly related to a potentially faulty microcontroller that entered the supply chain after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

Approximately 422,000 vehicles sold in the United States were affected by the recall.

The vehicles included in the recall are listed below.

-          2011 to 2013 Chrysler Sebring

-          2011 to 2013 Chrysler 200

-          2011 to 2013 Dodge Avenger

-          2011 to 2012 Dodge Nitro

-          2011 to 2013 Jeep Liberty

To check whether your vehicle is affected, visit the Chrysler website and enter your vehicle identification number.
