FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – An elderly man and woman were pulled from the water Thursday and taken to Holy Cross Hospital.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue officials said the two were in distress in the water and good Samaritans rushed to their aid.

It happened around 1:30 p.m. Thursday at 4200 Galt Ocean Drive.

Few details were available about the rescue, but officials said the woman was unresponsive when pulled from the water, but both have “life-threatening” conditions.
