Kim Rothstein Sentencing Delayed

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami/AP) – For a second time, sentencing for the wife of convicted Ponzi scammer Scott Rothstein has been pushed back.

Kim Rothstein was supposed to be sentenced in mid-July. But a federal judge recently agreed to give her a few more months so she can testify against others implicated in the $1.2 billion scam in hopes of getting a lenient sentence.

Kim Rothstein's sentencing is now set for October. She faces up to five years behind bars for concealing and trying to sell more than $1 million in jewelry that investigators wanted to seize.

Scott Rothstein is serving 50 years in prison for operating the Ponzi scheme involving investments in fake legal settlements.
