Boil Water Notice Issued For Tamarac

TAMARAC (CBSMiami) - A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for the city of Tamarac, west of State Road 7/U.S. 441.

The boil water notice was issued after testing on Friday found E-coli bacteria in one, untreated well water sample.

The city said all water used for cooking or drinking be boiled for roughly 1-3 minutes until the boil water notice is canceled.

Bottled water may also be used.

The precautionary boil water order will remain until further testing verifies the water is safe to drink, which typically takes approximately 48 hours.

If you have questions, contact the City of Tamarac Utilities Department at 954-597-3775.
