Battier Celebrates Win With Trip To Denny's

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat partied well into the wee hours of Friday morning after capturing a second straight NBA championship. But one of the heroes of the game had his own unique way of celebrating the championship.

Miami Heat forward Shane Battier struggled through much of the series with his shot and was passed over in the lineup in favor of Mike Miller. But Battier kept his head in the game and when his number was called Thursday night in Game 7, he came up gold.

Battier scored 18 points on 6-8 shooting from behind the three-point line and hit big shot after big shot in the game to keep the Heat ahead of the San Antonio Spurs. After the game, most of the team partied on South Beach, but Battier had another idea to go along with the SoBe party.

Battier continued his tradition of hitting up a local Denny's following the championship victory. He showed off his #grandslam meal with friends on Twitter.

After his scoring explosion in the Finals, if Battier is really hungry there's probably plenty of fans who would love to treat the former Duke star to some "Moon over my Hammy" meals for the next few months.
