Sheriff's Office IDs Suspected Gunman In Oakland Park Shooting

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – Broward Sheriff's investigators are searching for a gunman who shot and killed a man Sunday evening in Oakland Park.

Broward Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit identified the suspect as Victor Ramos, 57, a neighbor.

The shooting happened just after 7 p.m. outside a duplex at NW 40th Court and 5th Avenue. When deputies arrived they found 25-year old Kenneth Sewell's body behind the building and April Maria Muniz Moscareillo, 22, with a gunshot wound on her arm.

"I heard two gun shots and a couple minutes later saw guy swinging his arms all over the place, then he fired 3 more shots," said a person who did not wish to be identified in this report.

Moscareillo was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where she was treated and released.

SWAT teams searched the area for hours looking  for Ramos but came up empty.

"I'm hurt because I'm tired of losing all my loved ones," said Sewell's aunt Cassandra Thompson.

Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to call Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
