Two Women Charged In Cabbie Carjacking

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Two women have been arrested in connection with last week’s carjacking of a cab driver.

Kimberly Parker, 29, and Jesica Dennis, 22, have been charged with carjacking, strong armed robbery and battery.

Cab driver Jose Gutierrez, 59, said he picked up the two women up in Lauderdale by the Sea Wednesday afternoon. He then drove them to Westway Towing impound lot in the Shady Banks neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale. He said once there they used a rolled up shirt to choke him and punched him in the face with a cell phone.

At the time, Gutierrez told CBS4 that he thought he was going to die.

“I said, ‘Please don’t kill me, I have a family. I have a son and daughter, you know. A family. Don’t kill me, please,'” Gutierrez said he told the women.

The women then reportedly stole $200 from him and drove off in his cab which was recovered a short time later.
