Howard Stern About To Become S. Fla. Resident

PALM BEACH (CBSMiami) – The self-proclaimed King of all Media is about to become a South Florida resident.

According to multiple sources, including Gossip Extra and the Palm Beach Daily News, radio shock-jock Howard Stern has closed the deal on a $52-million oceanfront mansion in Palm Beach.

The house, at 601 N. County Road, features five bedrooms and nearly 19,000 square feet of air-conditioned space in the main house, and a smaller structure with more than 1,000 square feet.

The 3.25 acre lot was purchased through a trust and signed Wednesday, according to Palm Beach County records. The deed does not reveal the identity of the new owner.

The home includes an oceanfront swimming pool and formal gardens. The sale marks the highest deal recorded this year in Palm Beach.

Stern currently owns a luxury penthouse in Manhattan as well as a waterfront estate in the Hamptons..

Stern has made no mention of the Palm Beach home purchase.

Gossip Extra reported in March that Stern and his wife Beth Ostrosky were searching exclusive South Florida neighborhoods for a new beachfront home.
