Arrest Warrant Issued For Chad Johnson For Alleged Probation Violation

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - Former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson is once again a wanted man.

The Broward Sheriff's Office issued an arrest warrant for the former football star after he allegedly failed to report to his probation officer three months in a row, as well as failure to enroll in a Batterers Intervention Program (B.I.P.)

Johnson had been on probation since September 2012 after he cut a deal with prosecutors over charges he head-butted his then-wife, Evelyn Lozada, during an argument last August. The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver was arrested last August in front of his Davie home.

Lozada reportedly found a receipt for a box of condoms and confronted Johnson about it.

Under terms of the original plea deal, Johnson pled no contest and was ordered to serve one year of probation, complete batters' intervention counseling and pay medical restitution.

Johnson and Lozada had only been married a short time when the incident happened and were divorced quickly thereafter.
