Police: Ft. Laud. Man Violated Court Order, Arrested Again For Child Porn

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - A Fort Lauderdale man is under arrest, again, for allegedly sharing pornographic videos and pictures online.

Police say this isn't the first time Frank Hottenrott has been arrested on those charges. The allegations are sickening.

Police found 30 videos and more than 100 pictures on his computer when they went into his home.

"They saw that the victims were being forced to engage in sexual activities with adults," said Fort Lauderdale Police Detective Deanna Greenlaw.  "It was more than just 1 or 2 we're talking about 30 different videos depicting these poor children as young as 3 years old."

In this case, he's charged with 30 counts of child porn.  Two years ago, he was arrested for nearly the same thing.

"In the previous arrest, back in 2010, a forensic examination of the computer of the defendant disclosed approximately 1200 images of child pornography in his possession," said Greenlaw. "These children were as young as 3 months old."

Neighbors were not surprised by the allegations.  Hottenrott talked about it before.

"He told me months back when he was helping me do something," said one neighbor.  "He said he was up for charges of child porn."

Another neighbor said what surprised him is that Hottenrott is accused of violating a court order --one banning him from using the Internet.

"He should have paid heed and got rid of the computer," said the neighbor, who did not want to be identified.

Hottenrott is being held with no bond.
