Man Killed In Police-Involved Shooting

ORLANDO (CBSMiami/AP) — A 21-year-old man lost his life Friday after a traffic stop with police went wrong.

According to investigators during the traffic stop, at approximately 10:15 p.m., Marquis James Spencer rammed his car into a police vehicle multiple times and fled. Seconds later, Spencer crashed the car.

Following the crash, detectives say there was an exchange of gunfire and Spencer was killed. Ronmono Carson fled Spencer’s vehicle with a firearm and was taken into custody after surrendering to police.

No officers were injured.

Carson has been charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer with a firearm.

The shooting remains under investigation.
