First-Ever Kids Edition Of "The Price Is Right" Features S. Fla. Family

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – "The Price Is Right" has been on CBS4 for a very long time but it is about to do something it has never done before. The hit game show is having its first ever kids edition and one of the families that was invited to "come on down" is from South Florida.

They are Marc Schwartz and his daughters Amanda and Danielle.

They taped the episode during a visit to California during Spring Break in March. The kids played alongside their dad on Contestants' Row.

"The show was just such a great experience for our family, the fact that we went, we went to California the first time, we went to the show with the hopes of getting on, we got on stage and we won some stuff," said Marc.

The family ended up winning big, enough bicycles for the entire family, an HDTV and a hockey table.

The Schwartz family decided to donate their prizes to the Jafco Organization in Broward County. The nonprofit organization provides services to abused and neglected children in South Florida.

"The Price IS Right" is the longest-running game show in television history.

The first-ever kids edition of "The Price Is Right" airs Friday at 11:00 a.m. on CBS4.
