Date Ends With Alleged Carjacking

BOYNTON BEACH (CBSMiami) – What started out as a date turned out to be anything but that for a Boynton Beach woman.

According to Boynton Beach Police, Nimeha Milien, 21, believed she was meeting Donald McGee, Jr., 19,  for a date after exchanging text messages. Nimeha told police she picked up Donald in Broward County around 8 p.m.

The two drove first to a Wendy's and then to the Boynton Ocean Inlet Park where they walked on the beach and talked for a while, according to police. After that, Nimeha told police the two drove back to Wendy's where she believed McGee's brother would pick him up.

According to police, instead of being picked up, Nimeha told them that McGee produced a semi-automatic handgun and ordered her out of the car. Nimeha complied and only had her cell phone on her person when McGee allegedly took off in the car.

Police said a passing Good Samaritan was flagged down by Nimeha and they followed McGee allegedly driving her car. Police said McGee allegedly spun out the car and after initially trying to flee on foot, was captured.

Boynton Beach Police said McGee told them that Nimeha picked him up at the beach and it was her who produced the gun and tried to rob him. Police said McGee could give no "reasonable explanation" as to why he wouldn't stop for police.

Police found a gun in the car, a .38, and also a black backpack that Nimeha said belonged to McGee. According to Boynton Beach Police, the bag contained 57.5 grams of a substance that tested positive for marijuana.

Police arrested McGee on charges including armed carjacking, robbery with a firearm, possession of marijuana, fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, and driving without a license.
