Bills Receiver's Tweet Bombs

BUFFALO (CBSMiami) – Social media can be one of the greatest things an athlete can utilize to build their brand.

On the flip side, if you pull a stunt like Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson did late Wednesday night on Twitter, it can come back to bite you in a hurry.

Johnson jokingly opined on Twitter, "War is nothing to be played with. I apologize North Korea…….but if ya'll do bomb 1st… Bomb Foxboro, Mass. Sincerely, #BillsMafia."

To no one's surprise, Johnson's tweet drew an immediate and swift reaction from residents in New England along with Patriots fans. Johnson, perhaps immediately sensing his error, tried to put the proverbial toothpaste back into the tube.

"I know some of yall took it too serious.. but I have Much Respect for The Pats alone with Every other NFL Team. Gonna to be a Great #NFL2013," Johnson tweeted. He followed that up with, "PatsFans I lo…like yall also. Ask any1 in my fam. I've said TheBoro is my fav place to play bkuz you Pats fans are Live! BUT not for long."

Needless to say, when the Bills travel to play at New England it should be quite a scene when Johnson is introduced for the first time.
