Miami Police To Hold New Gun Buyback Operation

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – In its continuing effort to reduce gun violence, the City of Miami Police Department will hold its second official 2013 gun buyback operation of the year.

On Saturday, April 6, anyone can drop off any firearm at the Allapattah NET office, located at the Ebenezer United Methodist Church at 2001 NW 35th Street from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Those who drop off a gun will receive a gift certificate with no questions asked.

The City has already held three other gun buyback operations where more than 200 guns were turned in including 2 AK-47s and an M-14.
