Golden Knights To Light Up Sky Over Homestead

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Homestead residents who wake up early Wednesday may see strange lights over the air reserve base.

Don't panic, it's not aliens or falling killer meteors.

The lights will be from the U.S. Army's parachute team The Golden Knights which will be conducting nighttime training jumps starting around 3 a.m., until approximately 9 a.m.

The team will be using flares and other illumination devices as part of their training.

This is the fourth year the parachute team has been at the base conducting their winter training.

Homestead ARB is the winter home to the world famous parachute team that is home based out of Ft. Bragg, N.C.
